Thanks to a longer, wider, semi-displacement hull, the NorEast has incredibly agile handling and confident steering ? at all speeds. With its sleek, graceful entry, the Noreast slices through waves cleanly and without pounding, producing an exceptionally smooth, quiet, "dry" ride. Under the water, the NEB's sailboat-like keel protects the running gear and helps steady the boat, limiting the often uncomfortable side-to-side motion found on many of today's cruising boats.
FAST AND POWERFUL, SPACIOUS CLASSICS
Well suited for the extended cruising needs of either families or couples, the NEB 42 is available as a sedan with an enclosed main cabin and larger open cockpit or as an aft cabin flybridge cruiser with three sleeping cabins. Combining speed and power with spacious and comfortable interiors, it's the perfect yacht for extended cruising - with the speed to accomplish day trips and efficiency for those longer range cruises.
FUEL EFFICIENT
Most planing or semi displacement hulls need a great deal of power and fuel just to drive the boat up out of the water and onto a plane. The NorEast design uses less power while providing you with a more comfortable ride.
The NEB 42 is available with a single Caterpillar 600HP diesel or twin Yanmar nnnHP diesels to satisfy your preference in handling. With the single engine option, the NEB 42 can match the performance of most deep-V boats with twin engines, but with single-engine simplicity, efficiency and economy! Bow thrusters are standard on both configurations.
