The Perfect Cruiser - Well Maintained and Upgraded. PLUS Big Price Reduction Makes Her an Outstanding Value! Hope's owners have done a wonderful job of maintaining and upgrading her. Here's just a few of her better features: New UltraLeather Interior Cusions, Autopilot, Radar, Good Instrument Package, SSB, EPIRB, Globalstar Voice & Data, New Bimini & Dodger, New Cockpit Cushions, Electric Windlass, Nice Caribe Dinghy w/Chaps and New OB, and she just had a bottom job in Dec. 2008.
She's a beautiful example of the Island Packet 35 which is the perfect boat for a cruising couple but is also easily single handed. The IP35 is known for its sea keeping ability and was the first Island Packet to circumnavigate the globe! The cutter rig is a versatile sail plan, and the full keel tracks better over the ground, is safer, and gives you shallow draft for gunkholing. As with all Island Packets there's loads of storage space for food, spare parts, and personal items.
Hope is a proven "bluewater cruiser". She should definitely be on your "Must See" list. |

This model features 6'4" head room throughout.
The spacious forward master stateroom provides a wide V-berth with generous storage space and a large cedar-lined hanging locker. Louvered doors to the head compartment and salon insure privacy and ventilation. Continuing aft the head can be accessed from both the main salon and master stateroom. It features a separate shower stall complete with teak shower seat, curtain, and bulkhead-mounted shower unit. There is also a spacious vanity with stainless steel sink and plenty of light and ventilation from the port and overhead hatch.
The large main salon includes facing settees, a fold-down bulkhead table (which hides a bottle and storage rack), and a pull-out berth on the port side to provide another double berth. The adjacent full-size nav station faces aft for easy communication with the helm. It has a hinged top and storage tray underneath, a wide electronics cabinet outboard, and large AC and DC control panel. A chart drawer is located under the starboard settee for flat storage.
The real test of a cruising boat is storage. Where are you going to put your spare parts and stores.
There is a copious amount of storage space behind and below the settees which is unmatched in boats of equal size.
The huge wrap-around U-shaped galley is starboard aft. It is well-equipped, efficient, and has a non-skid floor pattern to assure safe footing continuing out to the companionway. There is excellent access to the Yanmar engine on all sides with removable insulated panels on either side and behind the companionway ladder.
The aft stateroom is equally spacious with a large double berth, dressing seat, cedar-lined hanging locker, and ample storage lockers. Two ports and an overhead hatch also provide excellent light and ventilation. Interior cushions replaced in 2006 with Ultra Leather Upholstery Large Chart Drawer 10 opening ports & 5 opening hatches 3 Dorade vents provide ventilation Ventilation Fans in Cabins 3 Hanging Cedar Lined Lockers Brass Clock & Barometer Ports, Hatches, Dorades and Companionway have
