This stunning ready-to-go, year-round performance cruiser from Sabre Yachts can have you on the water tomorrow. All the equipment and gear you'll need to comfortably summer in the Chesapeake and New England and winter in Florida and the Bahamas is aboard, including a full 360-degree cockpit enclosure, solar panels, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a 10-foot Caribe RIB with 15hp Yamaha outboard engine. WIND-BORNE's experienced owners have lived aboard her for eight years, performed regular maintenance, updated and added equipment, and kept meticulous records of all of the work. They had a 5-millimeter barrier coat applied to her hull when they first bought her in the fresh waters of Michigan in 1999 and she was still blister-free when they hauled her to bottom paint in October of 2008. Her hull was painted with flag blue Awlgrip in 2006, her halyards were all replaced between 2002 and 2005, her rod rigging was inspected and serviced in 2006, and she got new genoa sheets in 2007. Her advantageous keel-centerboard arrangement is inspected at every haulout and, with just 4 feet 9 inches of draft with the board up, gives her owners the ability to negotiate the shallows of the Intracoastal Waterway while still delivering optimal pointing in deeper water offshore with the board down at 8 feet 6 inches. |
