This classic 1982 34?Irwin Citation 34 is yet another fine example of Ted Irwin?s philosophy of delivering lots of boat for the money, combining generous accommodations with easy sail handling in a hull design that is both stylish and fast, as well as stable and comfortable.
Ideal for single-handing, she features inboard genoa tracks and chainplates, internal halyards and outhauls, as well as mid-boom sheeting and vang tackle with all halyards and sheets leading to the cockpit. The comfortable cockpit has full wraparound seating with all engine controls and compass on the pedestal. The roller bearing traveler is mounted on deck just forward of the companionway, keeping the cockpit uncluttered and allowing easy access to the main salon.
Her smartly-laid-out main salon is designed for livability and easy maintenance and displays a teak-and-holly sole, lots of teak trim, wraparound galley and dinette, spacious settee and nav station, as well as 11 opening ports and two ventilation hatches to keep her fresh and bright. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for five are provided by a private master stateroom forward, dinette and a quarterberth aft. The galley is equipped with a gimbaled 3-burner propane stove and oven, insulated icebox, and stainless sink with hot/cold pressurized water. The easy to maintain one-piece molded head includes a hot water shower, manual head with holding tank, vanity with mirror and ample shelving and storage.
Auxiliary-powered by a dependable fresh water cooled 27-hp Yanmar diesel, she also comes with a Kubota generator, compact refrigerator/freezer, diesel heater, bimini, electric windlass, wind generator and inflatable Bombard tender with 2-hp Evinrude outboard
This has been one of the more popular models of the Irwin line, and for good reason. Always in high demand and sought after by the midsized cruising enthusiast, this Citation 34 has been properly maintained and is a must-see for those with an eye for value.
