| -- DESCRIPTION -- |
The Bertram 56 Sportfisherman is a big, brawny, fishing machine with classic styling. She is ready to fish and would make a great liveaboard. This is a serious fisherman with flybridge, Marlin tower, and well equipped cockpit. Her history includes ownership by one of the partners of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. I'm sure there are stories to be told of those days and many others since she began service in 1971. Here's your chance to add to her history with stories of your own.
The flybridge features
a Marlin tower, bimini top with three-sided enclosure, centerline helm station with teak cabinetry, Furuno Loran, ComNav auto pilot, VHF radio, and three captain's chairs. A ladder aft takes you below to the large cockpit.
The spacious cockpit gives you more than enough workspace, and includes fighting chair, prep station with live well, tackle drawers, and transom door. The cockpit helm station allows up close controls when landing that tournament winner. The foredeck includes stainless steel fender racks, plow & Danforth anchors, and windlass.
The salon is large and open, with lots of potential. The galley is port side with Creada electric range and convection oven, Sharp microwave oven, GE refrigerator/freezer, solid surface counter top, and teak cabinets. Dinette is starboard. There's room to relax after a day of fishing and discuss the ones that got away while enjoying a cold beverage.
For overnight and extended fishing trips there are three staterooms and two head compartments.
Spacious accommodations make the fishing all the more enjoyable.
Performance is provided by twin Detroit Diesel engines generating 550 horsepower each with a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed around 18 knots. There is an Onan 15kW generator for offshore electrical power and four AC units for interior comfort.
Tanqueray II is the platform for a great fisherman, time and effort can return her to her glory days. Whether you are looking for a vessel for charter fishing or an upscale sportfisherman this timeless 56 footer has the potential. You can spend a lot more money and buy someone else's dream or you can start here and fulfill your own. If you are serious about fishing or want to look like your are, call now for more information and to schedule a showing of this classic 56' Bertram. |
